A knitting podcast is something I’ve wanted to have for at least 12 years. So here we go with a knitting podcast of sorts.
Do you know how people always say they cringe when they watch/read/listen to their first work years later? It doesn’t have to take years to get to that point.
I’m so proud of myself for finally starting a knitting podcast and a video one no less. It only took me 12 years at least of wanting to. What happened to finally get me off my butt? A night, home alone with the children sleeping was all it took.
If you are new to the podcast, please watch the newer videos first. I recommend beginning with episode 2. I find my footing a lot more in that episode.
That said, I’d love to hear if you think it’s ironic to read a book about deep work while knitting? Watch the episode to find out more.

WIPs or UFOs
I’m actually knitting on the No Frills cardigan by Petit Knit. I’m knitting it up in a mystery yarn and enjoying both the yarn and the pattern. Although the rows have gotten really long.
I marked my progress for the week with my favourite locking stitch marker. I made hardly any progress, which is a result of me not prioritising my knitting like I want to. Hopefully, I will get more done in the coming week.
While I knit…
While I knit, I enjoy listening to audiobooks or watching some TV. I just finished reading Deep Work by Cal Newport. Is it ironic to read a book about doing deep work while you’re doing something else?
My all-time favourite shows are the BBC Farm Series. The same team did a series called Full Steam AheadFull Steam Ahead, which isn’t quite as good. It’s still an interesting show, though, and I have enjoyed learning about how steam engines changed Britain.
What do you enjoy doing while you knit? Please let me know in the comments on YouTube.
